"We know that he want to come to Barca, but when you contacting PSG and talking with their president (Nasser Al Khelaifi), he said that he (Verratti) is not for sale and not have buy out clause. Because of that, president can decide with me or not to. In this case, Spain football is desperated. In here, there is a buy out clause, but there is none there, " he continued.
"And outside can come (to Spain) and pay buy out the clause and we cannot do that. So for this time, we still negotiate with PSG yet, even the player want to come playing for Barca. We must accept it," said Bartomeu. Bartomeu also claim that PSG has telling Verratti that him self only can go after his contract expired. Verratti alone still having contract with PSG until 2021.
